Innumeris Education is proud to welcome Sean Tunney as our Athletic Scholarships Co-ordinator, who joins to support the growing demand for our US scholarship programme.

The Dublin native joins the team with a strong background in both academic study and collegiate sport in the United States. Upon completing his secondary school studies in Ireland, Sean was awarded a scholarship to attend DeSales University in Pennsylvania in 2017, where he competed as an NCAA student-athlete in men’s soccer. During his time there, he completed a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Physiology, before going on to achieve a Master of Science in Integrative Exercise Science at Cedar Crest College.

Alongside his academic journey, Sean continued to develop as an athlete, later competing at semi-professional level with Pennsylvania Prime FC. His experience of balancing university study with competitive sport in the United States gives him a clear and practical understanding of the pathway many of our students aspire to follow.

Sean has also built an impressive coaching career. He has worked as a Head Sports Performance Coach, Boys’ Football Coach, and Head Track and Field Sprints Coach at Wilson Area High School in Pennsylvania. Across these roles, he has supported the development of a wide range of athletes, designing training programmes focused on strength, speed, and overall performance. His work has reached more than 1,000 athletes across over 15 different sports.

With recognised qualifications including CSCS and USAW Level 1, Sean brings both technical expertise and real-world experience to Innumeris. His approach focuses not only on improving athletic performance, but also on preparing students for the physical and mental demands of competing in the US college system.

In his role as Athletic Scholarships Co-ordinator, Sean will work closely with students aiming to secure opportunities in the United States through sport. He will support them in understanding the recruitment process, developing their athletic profiles, and preparing to perform at the highest level both on and off the field. Sean’s passion for helping young athletes reach their potential aligns closely with the mission of Innumeris. His addition marks an exciting step forward as we continue to expand our support for students pursuing international opportunities through sport.

Aspiring student-athletes wishing to avail of a scholarship in the US can email us directly at innumeris2020@gmail.com with their full name, the sport they compete (and level), the school/college they currently attend and the year they are in.
