The team at Innumeris Education were delighted to meet with Basketball Ireland President P.J. Reidy in recognition of his support for year 2 of our student-athlete mentoring programme. In over a year, Innumeris has grown from a small after school lesson, to a solidified project that is committed to guiding and inspiring the next generation of students in their pursuit of university both at home and abroad.
This year, Innumeris will be assisting elite student-athletes who are currently competing at a high sporting level and would like to continue that in university. Students enrolled on the programme this year will receive both mentoring and tutoring that consists of study skills tips, exam preparation advice, time management help, and guidance surrounding scholarships and grant applications.
We are glad to receive such support from Basketball Ireland. Foróige youth worker and basketball student-athlete mentor Farouq Raheem notes how "this project will undoubtedly provide so much help for driven student-athletes who need help with their academic studies prior to transitioning to college." Innumeris will be soon opening applications for this years' programme. Any current teachers, students or coaches who are interested in knowing more about the project can email us at innumeris2020@gmail.com.
